THE problems of Nigeria as embedded in the “National Question” have confused many people including foreigners who are friends of Nigeria. People could not understand how a country so blessed with human and mineral materials would be described as a poor country.

IF the Israeli “Never Again!” applied to all humans on earth without any discrimination, humanity would have taken a giant step in doing good for all and sundry.

LAST week, I criticised Anglican traditionalists who have prevented women from becoming Bishops. I expressed the opinion that female and male priests should have equal status and identical promotion prospects in this day and age.

ONE of the greatest philosophers that ever lived, Aristotle, opined centuries ago: “Men come together in cities in order to live; but they remain together in order to live the good life”. It is, however, becoming increasingly harder to live the good life in Nigerian cities today.

WHAT’S left of their relationship when a political son takes on his father in public and tries to show he is not what he claims to be after all? Wahala! That appears to me to be the direction things are going with President Goodluck Jonathan’s criticism of former President Olusegun Obasanjo’s handling of the Odi and Zaki Biam episodes in the early months of the latter’s administration.
