IN a determined bid to carry out the Federal Government’s order to put crude oil thieves out of business the military, particularly the Navy, has since intensified its offensives to locate and to destroy all equipment or products belonging to illicit refinery operators caught in the act. In the Central Naval Command, CNC, hub of Nigeria’s oil/gas production and highest with records of oil thefts, hardly a week passes without the Navy torching large wooden boats laden with volumes of stolen crude as well as locally fabricated refining machinery and thousands of litres of refined products, mostly diesel abandoned by the clandestine operators.

Three years after the Apapa regeneration plan was drawn, the project estimated to gulp N11 billion has failed to see the light of the day, inspite of several efforts to achieve the dream. The Federal Government has been under attack over Apapa Port and Oshodi- Apapa Expressway gridlock by stakeholders including Lagos state government over failure to keep to an earlier partnership agreement with the state government on the regeneration project of Apapa axis, estimated to cost N11 billion.

THESE folks lack any institutional memory to even understand the subtlety of those they are engaged in power game with. They are in a game whose rules of engagement they don’t have the faintest idea of.

I wanted young people to have better relationships with their parents/guardians. So, they can have mentors who will put them through as they make delicate decisions in life. I also wanted to be that individual that children and adolescents could tell anything to and will be certain of a solution.
