Michael Jackson and the tragedy of blackness

Very clever !!! I am sorry wise man, and great talking head…I do not know who is greater than Michael Jackson with my closeness to performance studies by a little bit of education and a little bit of exposure to practice and practitioners. None of those performers could by any stretch be considered cosmo-historical.

Are women truly their own worst enemies?

Women really need to understand that there will be no women’s power in this world until women get over trying to outdo one another in spite. In the meantime, men can sit back and relax because their power is not going anywhere. I have had issues dealing with other females from the time I was a kid.

Is it over?

It worked for some time, because of the cash factor. Its successor was a bit more thoughtful, being so quiet at the beginning and all of a sudden unleashing terror with one hand and once again offering cash with the other. It was only a matter of time before it all burst at the seams.

Good governance, Obama’s battle cry

Obama’s purpose of visiting Ghana was different from the objective of former President Clinton which Professor Aminu rightly referred to. Clinton sought partners in Africa to help fight hunger, disease (especially HIV and malaria) and to alleviate poverty by pushing through the African Growth and Opportunities Act (AGOA).

Do these people represent us?

The ASUU strike should be a matter of national emergency needing urgent attention. But the House did not consider the matter serious enough to attract its attention. It voted “democratically” to consign the country into the abyss of ignorance.

Safe sex: who is responsible (5)

Tell yourselves the truth. Does a friend who sleeps with her friend’s husband not know that the same man will sleep with his wife later? The currency of the Kingdom is the death of Jesus Christ. His blood is the propitiation for our sins. His resurrection purchases for us justification (Romans 4:25). God himself assures us prosperity.

Sanusi’s Monetary Policy Salvos

The situation becomes even more curious when you recognize that the same CBN who is borrowing from the banks at more than 6% is also the same one guaranteeing interbank placements without the control meter of each bank’s reserve and gilt edge holdings! This also raises questions as to the $7bn shared between 14 banks by CBN under hitherto undisclosed terms.

Demon worshippers in charge

When the crisis in the state took a turn whereby the political interests of Governor Daniel and Alausa were no longer in uniform alignment, Alausa deserted and joined Daniel’s enemies. In anger and retaliation, Daniel decided to expose Alausa and caused his newspaper to spin the yarn that it did with such relish that Monday.

Another angle!

“Is that Treena? This is Nkem. No, no, don’t say a word. I apologize profusely for the bad way I behaved in Lome today at your hotel. I don’t know what came over me. I normally don’t lose my cool that way and become physical.” Not true!

The ASUU strike highlights the rot in Nigerian higher education

First, the solution to the crisis in Nigerian public education is not in
the creating of more second rate degree mills that have neither reason nor rhyme. It is in the proper funding, planning, and elevation of existing public universities. Second, it must be emphasized that not everybody currently in the university is made for university education.
