I recall my younger days in Warri, Delta State, when a girl prefers one guy to the other, the usual refrain from the “loser” is, “I no know wetin she see for that guy body sef.” And he will go on a tirade, denigrating the “winner.” As I grew older, I kept ruminating over this remark, then it struck me: How you go take know wetin she see for the guy body? No be who wear shoe know where e for dey tight? She is the one in the relationship and knows what she wants, or at least she thinks she knows.

The United States President Donald Trump a fortnight ago decertified the Iranian Nuclear Accord entered into in Vienna, Austria in July 2015. The deal limited Iran’s capacity to civilian nuclear programme for power and medical purposes. The United States was empowered to watch over Iran with the US President required to certify that Iran complied with the agreement every 90 days. It was to be subjected to regular checks by international inspectors to ensure no perverse activities took place.

An Afenifere chieftain gave an interview to a mainstream newspaper a couple of weeks ago in which he heaped all the so called suffering the Yoruba race was facing in Buhari’s government on one man. According to this chieftain, he had warned Asiwaju Bola Tinubu not to align with Buhari and lead Yoruba into what he inferred to be another northern domination.

He was picked  to reform pensions. Yes, he hasn’t always been the face of corruption.  He discovered pension ghosts and their living cohorts. They had been draining the sweat and blood of  Nigerian workers.  He brought innovation.  He became an  anti corruption Czar. Monies were recovered, many were prosecuted. His sun looked like it would never set.
