The North Central Youths Support Group for Tinubu 2027, has congratulated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, on his resounding emergence as the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), following Saturday’s nationwide direct primary elections conducted simultaneously across all thirty-six states and the Federal Capital Territory.
The group said the outcome of the presidential primaries was a clear, unambiguous, and nationwide expression of confidence by millions of APC members who have assessed the President’s record and returned a decisive verdict in his favour.
In a press statement signed on Sunday, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the group, Hon. Hassan Atayoma Omale, described Saturday’s outcome as a powerful testimony to the deepening grassroots confidence in President Tinubu’s leadership, across the North Central zone.
Hon. Omale, a former Member of the House of Representatives, representing Ankpa/Olamaboro/Omala Federal Constituency of Kogi State in the 8th Assembly, however, called on the youth of North Central, to intensify efforts at ensuring no fewer than five million votes are recorded from the zone, for the President’s re-election in 2027.
“The results across the North Central zone speak for themselves. In Kogi State, President Tinubu polled 197,370 votes, with his sole opponent recording zero. In Benue State, he secured 375,507 votes against his only challenger, Stanley Osifo, who managed just 779 votes across all 23 local government areas. Kwara State delivered 310,990 votes for the President, with his challenger again failing to record a single vote across the entire state.
“In the Federal Capital Territory, APC members across all 12 wards of the Abuja Municipal Area Council cast 15,531 votes for President Tinubu, with zero recorded for his opponent. Niger, Plateau, and Nasarawa States equally returned the President as winner, completing a clean and historic sweep across all seven North Central states and the FCT. The message from this zone could not have been clearer”, the statement reads.
Omale, who is currently serving as Executive Director of Agricultural Services, Lower Benue River Basin Development Authority, Makurdi, a presidential appointment conferred by President Tinubu in December 2024; called on all party members across the zone to sustain the momentum, close ranks without delay, and “commence systematic community-level mobilisation in preparation for the 2027 general elections”.
He reminded North Central Youth that the primary has produced a candidate and that the task of converting that mandate into a general election victory now rests squarely with them and APC faithful in general, at the ward level.
Also reacting, the group’s Adviser, Prof. Isah Daniel, who serves as the Deputy Director of Organising at the APC National Secretariat in Abuja, commended the peaceful and orderly conduct of Saturday’s exercise across the North Central zone, calling on all eligible voters to prioritise the immediate collection of their Permanent Voter Cards.
Prof. Daniel stressed that the group’s mobilisation effort going into 2027 must be practical, targeted, and ward-specific.
Speaking from the authority of his national organising role within the party’s secretariat, he urged every member and supporter of the Renewed Hope Agenda across the zone to begin door-to-door engagement in their communities without further delay, taking the President’s verified record of achievement directly to the people in their homes, markets, and neighbourhoods.
“The North Central Youths Support Group for Tinubu 2027 is proud to affirm that this zone was among the earliest to declare publicly for Mr. President’s second term ambition. The group did so not out of political sentiment or calculation, but out of firm conviction that the Renewed Hope Agenda represents Nigeria’s clearest and most credible pathway to economic recovery, infrastructure development, and generational progress. Saturday’s clean sweep across Benue, Kogi, Kwara, Nasarawa, Niger, Plateau, and the FCT has vindicated that conviction before the eyes of the entire nation.
“To the millions of APC members and Nigerians across the North Central who turned out on Saturday, in wards and communities spread across the zone, the group salutes your commitment and honours your sacrifice. Your participation was not merely a vote. It was a declaration of belief in a better Nigeria. That belief will not be misplaced”, he added.
The group therefore called on every eligible voter across North Central Nigeria and the entire federation to secure their Permanent Voter Card without delay, identify their polling unit, and on election day come out in full force, “come out peacefully, and come out with the full weight of civic responsibility on their side. The primary has produced a candidate. The people must now produce a President”.
