It was at a forum to resolve the lingering crisis in Delta State chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC, that its new National Chairman, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, created another storm. As he inaugurated what was to be a uniform state executive, Oshiomhole intoned that President Muhammadu Buhari would receive the party’s presidential ticket without a challenge. 

Not everybody comes into politics to serve the people, many come for selfish interest and that is what is playing out now. Most of them are complaining because what they expected did not come and, to me, service to the people should be our primary aim.

The Akwa Ibom State Office of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, last week, held an expanded engagement meeting with key stakeholders at the Ibom Hall, in Uyo, the state capital. It was full beyond capacity, with many others standing by the window. 

The sacked DG of the secret police had deployed masked operatives to the National Assembly as early as 6am to prevent lawmakers from gaining access to the parliament. Meanwhile, it was a day the leadership of the National Assembly had fixed to meet with the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to consider the supplementary budget of N242 billion for the 2019 general elections scheduled to take place in the first quarter of next year.

Most of these people (commissioners) have been rendered useless and the governor seems not bothered and I am confirming to you that some of these men might leave the cabinet soon
