THE  immediate past Senate Minority leader and former governor of Akwa Ibom State, Senator Godswill Akpabio, APC, Akwa Ibom North West, Monday vowed that the Senate would declare seats of Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki, former PDP national Chairman, Barnabas Gemade, Senators Rabiu Kwankwaso; Dino Melaye;  Usman Nafada; Suleiman Hunkuyi and others who dumped the ruling, All Progressives Congress, APC for the Peoples Democratic PDP vacant. 

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has said that the silence by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) over the alleged discovery of thousands of its Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) at the private residence of President Muhammadu Buhari’s kinsman, the sacked Director General of the Department of State Services, Lawal Daura, has indicted the commission and placed a huge doubt over its integrity and capacity to conduct a free and fair election.

Two former All Progressive Congress, APC, Senators, Rafiu Adebayo and Isa Misau, on Monday, approached the Abuja Division of the Federal High Court, asking it to abort any attempt to forcefully impeach the Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki from office without recourse to due process of the law.

The National Assembly will not reconvene on Tuesday, spokesman of the House of Representatives, Mr. Abdulrazak Namdas said.

Chairman, Senate Committee on Navy, Senator Isa Hamma Misau, has stated that the Presidency should be ashamed that it is pushing the conspiracy script that top officials of the nation’s security apparatus are working for the Senate President, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki.
