THE American evangelist Billy Graham passed away peacefully in his sleep on Wednesday 21 February in his home in Montreat, North Carolina, USA, age 99. William Franklin Graham Jr was born on 7 November 1918 on a dairy farm outside Charlotte, North Carolina, of Scottish-Irish Presbyterian stock.
