SubscribeCompulsions and Addictions(2)
Hateful or hurtful words cut me to the quick so I try not to cause people pain by saying things that could cause pain. Witnessing the scene between husband and wife was every upsetting to a few of us who were present because they seemed determined to tear each other apart by saying really horrible things that to be honest I’d rather not have heard.
Compulsions and Addictions(1)
An addiction by definition is a physical and sometimes psychological dependence on substances or activities which lead to momentary pleasure or an alteration of a physical and mental state.
Sacred time; sacred space
By Debbie Ogunjobi My favourite space is painted in cool shades of green (my favourite colour); the furniture is huge and more built for comfort than decoration. The curtains are the exact shades of green as the walls and it is also my sacred space. The focal point is my Altar on which stands a […]
In weakness….
The greatest worry my teachers had about me in my younger days was my restlessness. I just couldn’t sit still, and my mind wondered non-stop all the time. My work was always done in a rush and was either submitted with seconds to spare or a bit late.

The Scottish brogue is very romantic and […]
The magnitude of purpose!
Every person seeks meaning to their existence, at this time of the year, it’s especially common for all of us to question the why’s the where’s and what’s.
Precious cargo!!
As the year races to an end, it is always great to look back and see what was so great and not so great about it. I can certainly count a few peeves that test patience as a virtue, but there are some that make you question life and humanity as a whole. Some occurrences are a slap in the face of our creator and the fact that they can happen in any society makes all of us culpable of breeding evil.
Tick tock, tick tock!
Time is a forward moving application of the universe; it’s the life blood of events and primary determinant of our chronicles. Every year, I ponder the nature of time, especially as the years seem to run by faster and faster.
