The CIO & C-Suite Awards Africa has opened nominations for the 7th edition of recognising transformational leadership, innovation, and impact across Africa’s technology and business ecosystem.

The Organizers announced that the nomination window will run from May 1 to June 30, 2026, inviting organizations, peers, and professional communities from across the continent to submit outstanding leaders for recognition.

Since its inception, the CIO & C-Suite Awards Africa has positioned itself as a platform designed to celebrate excellence and elevate the stories of leaders making measurable contributions within their industries and communities.

The initiative spans several African countries, including Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, South Africa, Egypt, Rwanda, and Cameroon, among others with nomination details and submissions available on the website.

Speaking, Convener, Abiola Laseinde, emphasized that the recognition platform was built on the principle of community ownership rather than hierarchy.

According to her, the awards exist to spotlight excellence wherever it is found while affirming the interconnected nature of leadership and innovation across Africa’s rapidly evolving digital landscape.

Meanwhile, this year’s edition features ten award categories covering key sectors shaping the continent’s future, including Fintech, E-commerce, Healthtech, Agritech, Cleantech and Energy, AI & Data, Education, Media, Telecommunications, and Technology Services.

Laseinde said that the initiative is intentionally inclusive, encouraging nominations not only for top executives but also for emerging innovators, rising professionals, and behind-the-scenes disruptors driving meaningful transformation within their sectors.

Past winners have continued to highlight the broader value of the recognition beyond trophies and accolades.

According to Mohamed Besheer, a 2024 winner from the Egyptian Banking Institute, the recognition strengthened institutional credibility, boosted morale, and reinforced commitment to innovation and excellence.
