One of Africa’s leading mobile-first gaming and entertainment firms, Choplife Gaming, has secured regulatory approval and licensing from PMU Mali to launch the betPawa brand in Mali.
The company disclosed this in a statement issued in Bamako, describing the development as a major milestone in its ongoing expansion drive across Africa and a boost to its presence in regulated gaming markets on the continent.
According to the company, the approval will enable customers in Mali to access betPawa’s mobile-first betting and gaming platform, which was designed specifically for African users with lightweight technology, simplified navigation, and localised payment solutions.
The rollout in Mali will feature sports betting, instant and online casino games, mobile money payment integrations, fast deposits and withdrawals, responsible gaming tools, as well as local customer support and partnerships.
Chief Operations Officer of Choplife Gaming, Olu Odeneye, said the company was excited to introduce the platform to the Malian market.
“We are excited to bring betPawa to Mali and grateful to PMU Mali for their engagement and confidence throughout the licensing process,” he said.
Odeneye described Mali as an important market with a vibrant youthful population, adding that the company aims to build a compliant and locally relevant gaming platform capable of creating entertainment, jobs, partnerships, and economic value.
He added that the company would collaborate closely with local stakeholders, regulators, payment providers, and telecom partners to ensure high standards of compliance, responsible gaming, and consumer protection.
Choplife Gaming also reaffirmed its broader vision of developing African-focused technology and entertainment platforms tailored to local markets while contributing to the growth of regulated digital economies across the continent.
