The colourful commissioning ceremony which kicked off with a display of Nigeria’s cultural heritage attracted guests from all works of life.

Speaking at the event, Zahirul Islam, Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) AHZ UK noted that the company is opening the Lagos office in a bid to assist more students who desire to study in the UK. Describing the launching of AHZ’s Lagos office as a welcome development, Islam explained how AHZ interfaces between UK-based universities and students seeking admission.

“A lot of Nigerian students are witnessing difficulties in their visa application process due to one reason or the other. Those who aim to migrate with their family through the study route are getting it wrong and this is based on the fact that they fail to ask the necessary questions.

Further, Islam noted that AHZ’s core aim is to help students follow up on their admission application without demanding a penny.

On his part, Country Director AHZ, Dr. Olukayode Shiroye opined that the ambition of students to study abroad can help restructure Nigeria’s educational system. He added that travelling abroad to study is not a waste of scarce resources or indirectly demarketing the country’s education, as after graduation, students can return to their country to use their acquired knowledge andand exposure to develop their countries.

Shiroye further added that AHZ’s services are not limited to the students alone, as they also provide several services for the universities they are associated with.

“Our services are open and never end at a certain point. We will continue to render assistance even after a student has completed his or her course. We believe every student deserves a chance to succeed that’s why we go beyond our admission services by organizing education fairs, seminars and workshops to keep our audience informed about the latest developments in the UK education system,” he disclosed.

The Lagos office of AHZ is expected to host free counseling, student admission services, compliance assistance, and partner university services among others.

The event climaxed with a colorful dinner that offered an array of food and drinks.
