A leadership bloc within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) aligned with the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has rejected claims that the party is facing a leadership vacuum following a recent Supreme Court judgment.

Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has said his repeated appearances before appellate courts as a litigant significantly shaped his understanding of the law and deepened his respect for appellate adjudication.

“There is only one political party… there is only one leadership of the party under the leadership of Abdulrahman Mohammed Takushara”

PDP faction loyal to Wike held its first NEC meeting at the party’s headquarters, Wadata Plaza, Abuja, on Monday.

He said, “Atiku is a serial failure. He is a serial contestant and loser, and I am sure that in 2031, he will still contest. Nigerians would be laughing at such a person making that kind of statement that nothing positive has been done.”

Wike said government was also addressing health infrastructure gaps through the rehabilitation of several health facilities across the territory.

“We do not deny access; these events actually generate revenue for the government. I am not aware of any such development, and I don’t even know which party you are referring to”
