CHIEF Victor Ike Oye took over from Chief Victor Umeh as the national chairman of All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA last year. In this interview, Oye spoke on his efforts to improve the fortunes of the party in the country, the defection of Governor Okorocha and former Governor Peter Obi, the 2019 presidential election, among other issues

The seven-man committee instituted by All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, to reconcile aggrieved members has rejected former governor of Anambra State, Mr. Peter Obi, who was allegedly said to have indicated interest to return to the party.

Ordinarily, I shouldn’t be the one writing about the outgoing governor of Anambra state being an indigene of the state and a stakeholder. But on the other hand, I think I’m in the best position to write as the ‘son of the soil’.

Governor Peter Obi said that the support his Government was offering to higher institutions in Anambra State was in line with the policy of his Government to offer support to all organizations and institutions domiciled in Anambra State, whether private, public or Government-owned provided their services were for the good of the people of the State.

The Catholic Bishop of Nnewi, Most Rev. Dr. Hilary Odili Okeke has appealed to Governor Peter Obi not to quit politics against the Governors proclamation that he was done with politics.
