Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Rivers State has appealed to the opposition All Progressives Congress, APC, in the state not to play politics with the dead.

The second term bid of Governor Seriake Dickson of Bayelsa State received yet another boost as communities in Sagbama Local Government Area of the state, council area have declared their support for him.

The accomplished Naval Engineer whose illustrious career in the military had seen him rise to become the Commandant of the National Defence College (Nigeria’s highly rated War College) in Abuja, before his voluntary retirement, has been a calm and steady lieutenant to the outspoken and sometimes volatile Governor who, though he is his junior in age, is certainly far more experienced than him in partisan politicking.

An Abuja High Court on Monday reserved judgment in a case filed by Mr Ahmed Gulak seeking to compel the National Working Committee of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to fill its chairmanship position.
