The Forum of State chairmen of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has formally broken into two along the division shaped at the national level between the factions led by Senator Ali Modu Sheriff and the National Caretaker Committee headed by Senator Ahmed Makarfi.

Return to PDP, Onuesoke tells Emerhor

A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Delta State, Olorogun Sunny Onuesoke, has advised a former governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta State, Olorogun O’tega Emerhor, to stop dreaming of winning the forthcoming 2019 election in the state and concentrate on returning to the PDP. Onuesoke, was reacting to a statement credited to Emerhor in which he said he was not surprised by the recent endorsement by Chief James Onanefe Ibori of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa for a second term in office come 2019. Emerhor had boasted in the story that the APC in the state was prepared to meet Ibori, Okowa and the PDP at the 2019 election to finally determine which party now owns the state’s political landscape.
