INDIGENES of Enhwe community, Isoko South Local Government Area, Delta State, have lamented the alleged abandonment of the Enhwe -Olomoro Road project, nine years after it was embarked upon by the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC.

EXPECTATION that the speedy completion of the Niger-Delta Development Commission, NDDC-sponsored ultra-modern motor park/market in the riverside town of Bomadi in Bomadi Local Government Area of Delta State would boost commerce in the riverine settlement, is gradually giving way to despair.

Managing Director of Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC,  Obong Nsima Ekere, has disclosed plans by the commission to establish Niger Delta Export Development Fund, NDEDF, in the region.

The member representing Warri Federal Constituency in House of Representatives Mr. Daniel Reyenieju has called the attention of the Managing Director of Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Mr Nsima Ekere to the Koko-Ogheye Road Project, Ogheye Shoreline Protection and Ugborodo Shoreline project among other projects that has been abandon by the commission, noting that the projects are important to the people of  South- South region and the Nation at large.

Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, has pleaded with stakeholders to embrace sustained sensitisation of the region’s youths on the dangers of militancy and other social vices.
