The Nigerian army has said that the command is currently investigating a video that has gone viral, showing its military personnel humiliating and torturing members of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, in Abia state of Nigeria.

Following the launch of its military exercise tagged, Operation Egwu Eke II or Operation Python Dance II in the south-eastern states of Abia, Anambra, Enugu, Imo and Ebonyi by the Nigerian army, the command has equally unveiled cell phone numbers of its various departments for residents of the affected states to make their complaints or contributions towards aiding the army in making the region peaceful. 

A former Minister of Health Prof. Alphonsus Nwosu has condemned the deployment of the army in the name of Python Dance 11 to the South East, saying that the Federal Government was reading the agitation in the South East wrongly.
