EBONYI State government yesterday raised the alarm over an alleged plot by a faction of Ebonyi State chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC to attack secondary school principals following what the group termed as plots by the state government to use principals to sensitize electorate on Voter Registration exercise.

ABUJA—THE last may not have been heard about last Saturday’s national convention of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, as the former National Organising Secretary of the party, Osita Izunaso has accused the Chairman of the National Convention Planning Committee, Gov. Mohammed Badaru of Jigawa State of conniving with Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha to rig the results of the polls.

The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Imo State, Dr. Hillary Eke, has denied ever having any discussions with the state Governor, Chief Rochas Okorocha, let alone reaching any truce with him over the crises in the party, saying the rumour was “a tissue of lies from the pit of hell.”

Newly registered political party, Young Progressives Party, YPP, has accused the President Muhammadu Buhari-led Federal Government of incompetence, over the continued logjam recorded in its budget preparations and over the incessant killings recorded across the country.
