THE President Goodluck Jonathan Transformation Agenda which has become a household name is intended to permeate a wide spectrum of the nation’s everyday life, ranging from housing, industry, energy, entertainment to the whole gamut of every facet of our social life. The present government is credited for the turnaround being experienced in many of the country’s productive sectors.

The FG has taken vital steps in resuscitating the electricity sector – from privatisation, intervention funds, meter procurement, and investment in new power plants to mention a few.

IN a few days from now, the Presidential election will be held in all thirty-six (36) States of Nigeria plus the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). All observers will admit that this is the closest Presidential polls since the return to democracy in 1999. We held subsequent elections in 2003, 2007, 2011, with the Peoples Democratic Party winning convincingly with landslides.

THE 2015 elections are here. It is time for politicians to receive rewards for their stewardship. It has been a year of bruising campaigns, all parties have fought well. No matter the outcome of the elections, one thing is sure, the country’s polity will never be the same again. No more will our politicians take the people for a ride, our democracy is deeply enriched.

IF Hon. James Manager wins in the forthcoming general elections to represent the people of Delta South Senatorial district in the ‘Green chamber’, equity, justice and fairness would have lost their true meaning to the aggrieved Itsekiris and Isokos of the same senatorial district. Amidst deafened protest in 2013 against Manager’s second term in the place of an Itsekiri candidate whose turn it was to represent the district at the senate, Manager was imposed on the people.
