Before the advent of the Fashola administration, driving through Oshodi, which I had to do to get to my office then at Fatai Atere Way, was one of the most harrowing experiences I had to go through five days a week.

Many residents of Niger State believe the development of capital projects  executed across the state by Gov Abubakar Sani Bello have  endorsed him for another term ahead of next year’s  general elections.

Lagos State is an investment haven. One of its most important attractions as an investment destination is the political stability witnessed from the Bola Ahmed Tinubu (BAT) government, through to Babatunde Raji Fashola (BRF) era and then the incumbent Akinwunmi Ambode. Investors are extremely wary of political risk, especially in a country like Nigeria with relatively weak institutions. The current political situation in Lagos State could have the unintended consequence of stalling the economic progress the State has made in the last 19 years.

Barely eight months to the completion of her tenure, the third woman to have ever held the office of Minister of Finance in Nigeria, Kemi Adeosun, bowed out of office, last Friday,  to end  an uproar over her allegedly forged NYSC certificate. 

Today I am going to tell a story; a long one indeed. You really would need to take your time to read this. Please pardon me if I am beginning to bore you with many stories. I guess you know that, beyond my passion for writing, I am also a trained story teller. Now, the story for today is not fiction. It’s a true life experience.
