There is no doubt that Olusegun Adeniyi is a popular columnist. That is why one will expect that a writer of his caliber will not rush to join a mob in giving an opinion on an issue without proper investigation and full understanding of both the under-currents and the obvious points. Neither should he engage in using his column to settle personal scores.

The much maligned 2019 federal elections has come and gone. Like so many pundits were cocksure even before the first ballot was cast, President Muhammadu Buhari was by it returned to a second tenure of four years. Notably, among other things, it was wished in the main to enable him finish all the good works he had begun upon victory in the 2015 exercise. As the hullabaloo about the ‘resounding’ electoral success yet simmers, the time is apt to regurgitate some of its determinants.

ABIA State Governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu, recently put the governorship candidates of the All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA, Mr. Alex Otti and All Progressive Congress, APC, Mr. Uche Ogah, on the spot when he questioned their understanding of the political  consideration, based on the existing Abia Charter of Equity, that defines power sharing or leadership succession in the state.
