Hardly would any mention  be made concerning Nigerian modern art without mentioning names of the likes of Yusuf Grillo, Bruce Onabrakpeya, Demas Nwoko, Uche Okeke etc who were students from the Nigerian College of Arts, Science and Technology now known as Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. Those were the founding fathers of contemporary art in Nigeria.

HIS artistic expression is unique, having so much depth of perception and interpretation such that there’s no one in his space. He is Victor Butler, a leading international artist from Ghana who is showcasing exceptional works for the first time in Nigeria. The exhibition titled ‘Nuance’, doubles as his very first  solo outing in 30 years.

Motions and Emotions is Bolaji Ogunwo’s 4th solo painting exhibition. The works have diverse subjects and media ranging from oil, acrylic and mixed media, addressing the economic and socio-political trajectory of Nigeria.

I followed the truckload of armed policemen to the raid of Kristobell Junior Academy and arrest of Mr. and Mrs. Onuoha because the police needed me to show them the school. The commissioner had sent an inspector from his office to monitor the raid.
