In what may be described as the mother of all exhibitions during this art season, the ‘Best of Ife’ will be showcasing an array of talented artists across generations.

The Nigerian fiction writer and poet, Jekwu Anyaegbuna, has won this year’s “Poetry London” Prize, a top poetry prize in the United Kingdom. His entry “Unusual Inmates” was announced in October 2023, by the organisers at a ceremony that held at the Southbank Centre in London.

AIYEKO-OOTO is a Nigerian-American poet, playwright and philosopher with more than 109 titles. Alongside the 2023 Lagos Book & Art Festival, the prolific author, using the platform of CORA Youth Creative Club, organized series of activities for young people involving workshop on writing and reading techniques, live writing competition, and mentorship on dignity of the Girl-Child. The event held from Monday 13 -Tuesday 14 November, 2023 at Freedom Park, Lagos. 

Anthony Oluwabiyi Boyede Greenlyte, is a theatre director, dancer, choreographer, dance teacher, and drummer. He is the Creative Director/CEO, Theatre Centrik, and the Convener/Founder, Alimosho Arts Community Initiative (AACI), among other Arts and Culture initiatives.

From stunning exhibits of iconic art grand master, pa Bruce Onabrakpeya, to hyperrealistic portraits celebrating female gender by emerging artist, Arinze Stanley which were displayed at the Alexis gallery stand, and much more, ART X Lagos 2023, was a showcase of excellence across Africa.
