Bharti Airtel, a leading global telecommunications company with operations in 19 countries across Asia and Africa, has been ranked amongst the top five firms in Corporate Reputation in India.

The Nigerian Communications Satellite (NIGCOMSAT) last week inaugurated a service compact unit, tagged ServiCom. The unit according to the satellite company was in order to optimize customer-friendly service in line with global best practices.

Apparently showing concern over the poor quality of telecom services that has bedeviled the telecom industry in recent times, the Business Unit Manager, Weco Systems International Ltd, Mr Sidney Ogueri, has said that the operators should as a matter of urgency, begin to think of outsourcing most of their services.

At the flag-off of a nationwide SIM card registration exercise on Monday in Abuja, the Executive Vice Chairman of the Nigerian Communications Commission, (NCC) Engr. Eugene Juwah has said that the major significance of the exercise is the achievement of a Central Data base for all mobile phone users in Nigeria.
