In 2005, she was a naive, 18 year old geography undergraduate when she escorted her friend to the Silverbird office to submit her form for the Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria pageant. But on getting there, some members of staff discovered Omowunmi Akinnifesi to be a beautiful girl and wondered why she was not picking the form herself. She was encouraged to do so and she heeded the advice filling and submitting the form on the very last day entry forms were to be submitted. The rest as they say, is history for she went on to win that contest, emerging as the Most beautiful Girl in Nigeria 2005.
