Botox Party!
Botox is the brand name for Botulinum toxin type A which is the purified form of the toxin. The treatment is an increasingly popular non-surgical treatment for facial wrinkles and is the hottest rejuvenation trend of the new millennium! If the botulinum toxin is taken in large amounts by mouth, a form of food poisoning known as botulism is the end result. Botox is used cosmetically for the treatment of dynamic wrinkles by the injection of small doses into specific muscles to temporarily relax the facial muscles around wrinkles, making them less noticeable. Botox works by blocking the chemical signals responsible for muscle contraction. The relaxed muscles lead to flattening of the skin and hence a smoother less wrinkled appearance.
Get Motivated to Listen!
Isn’t it interesting that we often close conversations by saying, “I’ll talk to you soon,†rather than, “I’ll listen to you soonâ€?
A year ago, I attended a seminar at which each participant was invited to choose a day to spend in total silence. How rare to go an entire day without speaking a word. I found the exercise refreshing and enlightening. My other senses came alive. I noticed fragrances, felt the embrace of a friend and heard the background “music†of everyday life. Actually, not talking was a relief. I spent my time observing and listening. I asked myself, “How often do I really listen and why?â€
Tips for sensitive scalp
I get a lot of inquiries from women who burn with every touch-up. I cannot emphasize enough, the importance of planning when your scalp is sensitive. If your scalp reacts adversely to chemical cream Relaxer, you must plan ahead, so that the scalp is calm before chemical application and therefore less likely to be traumatized by the relaxing agent. Accept your sensitivity, embrace it. Do not compare your situation with any other. Yes, your friend may be able to go swimming for an hour or two, visit her stylist on the way from the pool for a touch-up with super strength Relaxer, and NOT burn; truth is your friend is not you!
