At the Vanguard year award for 2016, ex-Head of state, Yakubu Gowon, Central Bank Governor, Godwin Emefiele, Governors of Kebbi, Anambra, Lagos states, Alhaji Atiku Bagudu, Willie Obiano, Akinwunmi Ambode and Pascal Dozie among others were honoured with Lifetime achievement, Governors of the year, Banker of the year and Personalities of the year awards.

The Most Rev. Justin Welby, Thursday, met with President Muhammadu Buhari at Abuja House, London. Buhari according to a statement signed by the Presidential spokesman, Mr. Femi Adesina stated the president is expected back tomorrow, Friday, and that he expressed appreciation to Nigerians who had prayed fervently for him.
