German luxury automobile brand, Mercedes-Benz has put in place a new naming system for its complete model range. The brand has changed recognised car models and introduced a range of new names, which started towards the end of 2014. The brand that is constantly producing new vehicles, believes that this is the right time to go ahead and reorganise, due to plans in the near future.
Chinonso, three others for Ford Ranger Odyssey contest in Namibia
Four Nigerians, all males, have qualified to represent the country at the 2015 Ford Ranger Odyssey contest, scheduled to hold in Namibia next month. The Nigerian representatives include Ugochukwu Onuiri who came first in the contest, Moyosore Fawole and John Amadi who came second and third respectively at the keenly contested event held at Coscharis Motors racing ground Awoyaya, Lekki, Lagos.

THE Managing Director of Toyota Nigeria Limited, Mr. Kunle Ade Ojo has reiterated the company’s resolve to quality service delivery to its customers in Nigeria. The Managing Director while speaking at the company’s annual award at the Civic Centre recently, said the recent worldwide recall by Toyota corporation is being given the desired attention in Nigeria, as owners of the offered models will soon be called to bring the vehicles for correction of the problem.
Briscoe Academy, Highbury College UK graduate automobile technicians
Concerned by the dearth of well trained and skillful workforce among automobile dealers in country RT Briscoe, dealers in Ford and Toyota brands in Nigeria has trained the first set of automobile technicians under the auspices of the Briscoe Academy. Recently, out of about 24 applicants that were selected for the months long intensive online and face to face training programme under the tutelage of the UK-based Highbury College mechanical and engineering department, a total of 18 qualified Nigerians including a female were presented with Certificates of course completion.
Ford Ranger Odyssey Africa challenge entries extended
The Ford Motor Company, in association with its accredited dealer in Nigeria, Coscharis Motors, has announced a new closing date for the Call for Entry into the 2015 edition of its action-packed Ranger Odyssey Africa Challenge, themed “Brain Vs Brawn”. The third edition of the annual Ranger Odyssey will see a total of 20 contestants navigating through the extremely challenging north-western region of Namibia on a 12-day expedition that will push each person to the limit.
