Cross River: Ritual killings resurface ahead of 2027 elections

Observations over the last 11 years have shown that in Cross River State, cases of alleged ritual killings tend to increase as general elections draw near, with women accounting for more than 90 per cent of the reported victims. Ikorodu night of terror: LAGBUS driver, two others injured

The LAGBUS took off from Oshodi enroute Ebute-Ikorodu around 9pm that fateful day. The officials had informed intending passengers that the bus with registration number Wo 15, will avoid Agric due to the perennial gridlock at both Benson and Ikorodu roundabouts. The driver who was later identified as ‘’Holy Michael’’, only stopped at designated bus terminals for passengers to either alight or board the bus.
