THE Federal Government has charged employers of labour to provide decent conditions for their employees, devoid of exploitation and other negative conditions.

FEW days ago, Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers, NUPENG, rounded off the activities marking its 40th anniversary sequel to its registration as a Trade Union on 15th August forming part of the 42 Industrial unions that came into existence in 1978 during the restructuring of trade unions.

PETROLEUM and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria, PENGASSAN, has warned politicians and other stakeholders aiming to sell or buy the nation’s refineries to jettison such idea and steer clear to avoid the wrath of workers.

Nigeria Employers’ Consultative Association,  NECA, is gearing up for the retirement of its longest serving Director General, DG, Mr. Olusegun Oshinowo, at the end of this month. This has not stopped the umbrella body for employers in the country from adding its voice  to the clamour for restructuring of the country.

NATIONAL Industrial Court of Nigeria, NIC, Akure Division, has declared as null and void the letter of compulsory retirement Mr Vincent Omosigho by the authorities of the University of Benin even as it also set it aside.
