Graduands of the International School (ISL), University of Lagos, have been reminded during the 2009 Valedictory Service held recently, that quite a n umber of UNILAG first class scholars over the years are products of ISL.

JubailI Bros Enginering Ltd, has come to the rescue of Opebi Senior Grammar School Students whose collapsing classrooms block posed serious threat to their lives. The company consequently built six classrooms block and donated the structure to the school as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility to the community.

We demolished the school’s dilapidated structures and constructed new ones. We also built a modern toilet. I also established a new school at Baruwa, that is Community Primary School, Baruwa and also at Community Primary School, Isefun, new classrooms were also built for them. At each of these schools we sank borehole and build modern toilet.

The VC stated that Caleb University decided to organise the training because a well-informed and trained staff is the backbone of good university administration. In his words, The delicate balance of manpower training, research and community service on which university operations are anchored can only be achieved if the staff saddled with responsibilities are versed in the norms of how things should operate for maximum efficiency.’

“We are embarking on protest to compel the Federal government to immediately sign and implement agreement reached with the striking unions so that students can resume academic work. We, Nigerian students, are tired of staying at home and we consider the federal government the party to blame in the current crisis, he said.”
