BARELY few weeks after a commercial motorcyclist popularly called Okada was killed in Enugu-Ezike, Igbo-eze North Local Government Area, Enugu State; another commercial motorcyclist has been hacked to death in a similar circumstance in the same local government area while his motorcycle was snatched from him. The motorcyclist, Chiedozie Urama, who hailed from Umuopu, Enugu-Ezike was tricked by his assailant to convey him to Aji, Enugu-Ezike only to be killed and his motorcycle snatched.

THE Anambra State police command last week, recorded one of its greatest harvests of suspected kidnappers and armed robbers in recent time, following the arrest of 13 persons in one day. At the headquarters of the State Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS, located at Awkuzu in Oyi local government area of the state, the suspects, realizing that the game was up, looked sober and one after the other, began to make open confessions, saying they were driven into crime because of the love of money.

THREE suspected thieves inside a taxi popularly called ‘one-chance’ met their waterloo, weekend, after they were nabbed in Mabushi area of Abuja and tortured by an angry mob who later threw them off a bridge in the FCT, despite the intervention of an SSS agent. According to an eye witness, luck ran out of the suspected thieves as they were moving in a taxi with their victim struggling to attract the attention of passers-bye. Fortunately, curious onlookers noticed the victim and gave the taxi a hot chase till it stopped.

A MIDDLE-aged robbery suspect recently stunned police detectives in Lagos when he openly confessed that he had no other profession than robbery. Fair-complexioned Maxwell Unachukwu who sang like canary to the bewildered anti-robbery policemen later gave information that led to the arrest of five of his partners in crime.
