The Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities, SSANU and the Non-Academic Staff Union, NASU of the University of Jos, have joined their counterparts nationwide to paralyze activities at the University.

The administrative activities, Monday was paralysed at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, UNN, following the Senior Staff Association of Universities, SSANU, and Non-Academic Staff Union of Educational Associated Institutions NASU joining the seven days nationwide warning strike.

The Vice Chancellor of the University of Calabar, UNICAL, Professor Florence Obi has disclosed that the measure put in place by the Institution has drastically reduced sorting syndrome in the school.

The Vice Chancellor of Elizade University, ilara- Mokin, Ondo state, Prof Kayode Thadius Ijadunola and that of Afe Babalola University, Ado – Ekiti, Ekiti state, Professor Smaranda Olarinde, have raised the alarm that Nigerian Universities are under threat on account of the nations depressed economy.

The Director, Alumni and Connectivity, Babcock University, Ilishan Remo, Ogun State, Dr Jonathan Dangana, has said the need to expose graduating students to the realities of the job market necessitated the annual career fair organised for the students.
