The former President of the Nigerian Coaches Association, NCA, Austin Akosa says there is nothing bad in organizing one or two friendly matches for the Super Eagles ahead of their next World Cup qualifier against the Carthage Eagles of Tunisia in Abuja in September.

Former Green Eagles winger, Adokie Amiesimaka has stood in defence of local coaches following last week’s call for the hiring of a foreign coach for the Super Eagles by the Enugu State Commissioner for Special Duties, Okezie Nwanjoku.

Having sparked the call on former Super Eagles skipper Austin Okocha to quit retirement and return to active soccer, at least for the 2010 World Cup, ex-International Adokie Amiesimaka believes that two things would determine his return, attaining the required fitness as well as the coach ready to welcome him back to the team.
