As the toll rises

I had this irresistible urge to go out on Tuesday that was quite unlike me. The ease in lockdown was just a day old and the normal me would have skipped the week just to test the waters. I tried to justify this itch by rationalising that I had been on personal lockdown long before the official one.

Between a rock and a hard place

I had what in my book, was an emergency on Monday. Serious enough – at least for me – to have dispatched an ambulance if I had the power.

How long is too long? How close is too close?

My birthday was on Palm Sunday. It was as we all know, spent in a lockdown. A few friends who remembered called. Some bemoaned the lockdown which prevented a get-together and thereby denied an opportunity to share banters and choice drinks.
