KINGMODEL, the entertainment and talent development brand founded by renowned creative entrepreneur King Daniel, has celebrated 17 years of promoting creativity, fashion, entertainment and youth empowerment in Nigeria.

The 17th edition of the KINGMODEL Show, held in Osapa, Lekki area of Lagos State, attracted participants, entertainers and guests from across Nigeria, members of the diaspora and international visitors, highlighting the growing influence of the platform within the entertainment and fashion industries.

The event marked another milestone for DREAMS MODELS INT’L, the organisation established by King Daniel on December 13, 2008, in Victoria Island, Lagos, with the aim of discovering, mentoring and showcasing young talents.

Speaking at the event, King Daniel reflected on the journey of the brand, noting that what started as a modest initiative had evolved into one of Nigeria’s respected entertainment and modelling platforms.

According to him, the vision behind KINGMODEL has always been centred on creating opportunities for young people and helping them build careers in entertainment and fashion.

“For over 17 years, we have remained committed to inspiring young people, creating opportunities and putting smiles on the faces of countless individuals through innovative entertainment and talent development programmes,” he said.

He added that several young models and entertainers trained under Dreams Models International had gone on to establish successful careers within and outside Nigeria.

Beyond modelling, King Daniel has also expanded into filmmaking and storytelling. He is the producer of the movie series, “Agatha of Jezebel,” which has enjoyed years of production and audience patronage.

Over the years, KINGMODEL has organised notable entertainment and youth-focused events including Revolution Talk Show, Lekki Carnival, Supermodels Story and Lekki December, all aimed at providing platforms for emerging talents to showcase their creativity.

Organisers of the event said the consistency of the brand over the years had earned it several recognitions and awards in fashion, humanitarian service and media excellence from organisations such as Global Affairs Magazine and other institutions.

King Daniel also used the occasion to unveil plans for “Paradise Night Dance,” a major entertainment event scheduled for December 2026 to commemorate the 18th anniversary of KINGMODEL annual shows.

He described the forthcoming event as one that would further celebrate creativity, entertainment and youth development during the festive season.

Supporters, stakeholders and guests at the anniversary celebration commended the organisation for its contributions to talent discovery and youth empowerment, while urging continued support for initiatives that promote the Nigerian creative industry.

Special appreciation was also extended to the Silverbird Group for its support and partnership in the successful execution of KINGMODEL events and presentations over the years.
