The Enugu State chapter of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has congratulated former Anambra State Governor, Peter Obi, on his emergence as the party’s presidential flag bearer for the 2027 general election.

In a statement signed by the State Chairman of the party, Johnpaul Ani, the party described Obi’s emergence at the Special National Convention as a reflection of the confidence and trust reposed in his leadership by party members nationwide.

The party also expressed satisfaction with Obi’s choice of Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso as his running mate, describing the ticket as a strong platform for national transformation.

According to the statement, the Enugu State chapter of the NDC remains fully committed to the party’s success and will mobilize support across the state to ensure victory in the 2027 general election.

“We stand firmly with you and assure you of our total support, mobilization and dedication as we work to deliver victory for our great party,” Ani stated.

The party expressed confidence that Obi’s leadership would usher in an era of accountability, economic revitalization and national cohesion, adding that Nigerians are eager for a government that prioritizes good governance and inclusive development.

The statement concluded with a message of optimism, saying: “Congratulations once again, Your Excellency. Nigeria will be okay.”
