Dufil Prima, FRSC move to deepen national road safety partnership

As part of efforts to strengthen road safety advocacy across Nigeria, Dufil Prima Foods Plc and the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) are set to elevate their longstanding partnership to the national level following a courtesy visit by Dufil’s Director of Special Projects, Rajesh Gaggar, and Group Corporate Communications and Events Manager, Temitope Ashiwaju, to the Corps Marshal, Shehu Mohammed, at the FRSC Headquarters in Abuja.

The meeting focused on expanding collaboration around road safety awareness, responsible driving culture, and public advocacy initiatives targeting motorists, commercial riders, students, and the wider public.

The engagement builds on a partnership spanning more than 15 years, with several interventions previously implemented at state level. A key platform has been the Indomie Fan Club (IFC), through which both organisations have educated school children on road safety and advocated for greater integration of road safety education into primary school curricula.

The visit also provided an opportunity to review past interventions and explore new areas of collaboration under the leadership of the Corps Marshal. Highlighting Dufil’s contributions, Ashiwaju noted initiatives such as the donation of 10,000 safety helmets to commercial motorcycle riders and the renovation of the FRSC Lagos office.
“For us at Dufil, road safety remains an important area of social impact. We are pleased to engage further with the FRSC leadership on how we can expand these efforts nationally,” Ashiwaju said.

Commending Dufil’s sustained commitment to road safety advocacy, Corps Marshal Mohammed emphasised the importance of private-sector partnerships in reducing road crashes and improving safety culture nationwide.

Both organisations also discussed future collaborations, including nationwide school advocacy campaigns, public enlightenment programmes, and additional support for FRSC initiatives. They reaffirmed their commitment to building a stronger partnership that advances national road safety objectives and promotes safer roads for all Nigerians
