The Eselu of Iselu Kingdom, Oba Akintunde Akinyemi, has congratulated the Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, on his 66th birthday, commending his leadership style and developmental initiatives across the state.

Abiodun clocked 66 on May 29, 2026.

In a congratulatory message issued on Friday to mark the governor’s birthday, Oba Akinyemi described Abiodun as a visionary leader, whose administration has brought significant transformation to Ogun State through strategic policies and infrastructure development.

The monarch noted that the governor’s “Building Our Future Together” agenda had translated into tangible projects, including road construction, agro-processing zones, and reforms in the education sector, which he said had enhanced the state’s economic profile.

He added that Abiodun’s commitment to creating an investor-friendly environment had continued to position the State as a preferred destination for local and foreign investments.

The traditional ruler further commended the governor’s approach to governance, describing it as people-oriented and anchored on service, discipline, and responsiveness to citizens’ needs.

“Your leadership has demonstrated that governance is about service, discipline and listening to the people.

This commitment has sustained confidence in Ogun State both within and outside Nigeria,” the statement read.

Oba Akinyemi prayed for divine wisdom, renewed strength and good health for the governor as he marks another year on May 29, 2026.

“As Your Excellency celebrates your 66th birthday today, I pray that Almighty God grants you renewed strength, divine wisdom and sound health to finish strong and leave behind a legacy that future generations will remember and celebrate,” the monarch added.

He concluded by wishing the governor many happy returns and continued success in office.

“Happy 66th Birthday, Your Excellency. We are proud of you. Many happy returns, Sir,” the statement concluded.
