Eliana: NLP community celebrates Veekee James, Atere

The Next Level Prayer (NLP) community and members of Harvesters International Christian Church (HICC) have joined Nigerian fashion designer Veekee James and her husband, Femi Atere, in celebrating the birth of their first child, a baby girl.

The couple welcomed their daughter, Eliana Adeife Atere, on May 2, 2026, marking what many within the faith community have described as a testimony of answered prayers.

The announcement, made via Instagram, revealed that the baby was born in the United States, weighing 3.83 kilograms.

Convener of the Next Level Prayer and Lead Pastor at HICC, Bolaji Idowu, shared the couple’s joy with his followers, posting videos of the newborn and her parents. He described the birth as a manifestation of faith and persistence in prayer, noting that the arrival of the child symbolises divine intervention.

Idowu also disclosed that a virtual prayer session was held in honour of the family, during which prayers were extended to other couples trusting God for children. He encouraged members of the community to remain steadfast, expressing hope that similar testimonies would follow.

Responding to the cleric’s post, Atere expressed appreciation for the spiritual support and guidance they received throughout the journey to parenthood. His message reflected gratitude and a sense of fulfilment, as the couple begins a new chapter as parents.

Providing insight into the meaning of their daughter’s name, the couple explained that “El” means God, while “Ana” translates to “He has answered,” together conveying the message: “My God has answered.” The name, they said, reflects their personal journey and the significance of the moment.

They also referenced a verse from the Bible, 1 Samuel 1:27, which reads: “For this child I prayed; and the Lord hath given me my petition which I asked of him,” underscoring the spiritual context of the birth.

The development has continued to draw congratulatory messages from members of the NLP community and beyond, with many describing the birth as inspiring and faith-affirming.
