Friends, associates celebrate Prince Eludoyin

Friends, business associates and admirers, across Nigeria and beyond, have paid glowing tributes to billionaire businessman and investor, Prince Dipo Eludoyin, as he marked his birthday, describing him as a quiet force in global business diplomacy and national economic advancement.

Eludoyin, Chairman of Paragon Group and owner of Ikeja Mall, was widely celebrated for his influence in bridging Nigeria’s economic aspirations with international investment opportunities, particularly in Asia.

Despite his towering presence in the business world, associates noted that his style remains remarkably understated.

“He does not raise his voice, yet his influence resonates across continents,” one associate remarked, capturing the essence of a man many describe as a strategic connector between Nigeria and the global economy.

Industry insiders say Eludoyin is currently spearheading what could rank among Nigeria’s largest private-sector driven investment initiatives, reportedly mobilising over $10 billion in foreign direct investment from Chinese multinationals into key sectors such as automobile manufacturing and smart agriculture.

The initiative is said to align with the industrialisation drive of President Bola Tinubu.

Those close to him disclosed that much of his diplomatic engagements take place away from public glare, with Eludoyin maintaining strategic relationships at the highest levels of global leadership.

He is believed to enjoy direct access to over 20 world leaders, including top officials in China, leveraging such networks to promote Nigeria as an investment destination.

Celebrants also highlighted his consistent advocacy for Nigeria’s unity and inclusive governance. Eludoyin has often projected the country as one built on balance and diversity, urging the international community to view its pluralism as a strength rather than a source of concern.

Beyond economic interests, the businessman has been vocal on global issues, particularly poverty and insecurity.

He has repeatedly called for debt relief for developing nations and stronger international intelligence-sharing frameworks to combat terrorism, arguing that economic stability remains a critical foundation for lasting peace.

Some associates recalled that Eludoyin once declined the opportunity to ascend the throne of the Ooni of Ife following the death of Oba Okunade Sijuwade in 2015, choosing instead to focus on his business and global engagements.

“To him, leadership goes beyond titles. His influence is rooted in impact, not position,” another associate said.
