Former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives and Chairman of the Board of the South-South Development Commission, Rt. Hon. Chibudom Nwuche, has congratulated President Bola Tinubu on securing the presidential ticket of the All Progressives Congress for the 2027 general election.

Nwuche described Tinubu’s emergence as the party’s presidential candidate as a strong vote of confidence in the President’s leadership and reform-driven administration.

In a statement, the former Deputy Speaker said the endorsement by APC members across the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory reflected growing national acceptance of the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda and its efforts at economic recovery, infrastructural renewal and national stability.

“Despite current challenges, the Tinubu administration has shown courage and strategic leadership through pragmatic economic reforms, institutional repositioning, infrastructure expansion, and policies aimed at securing long-term prosperity for all Nigerians, regardless of tribe or faith,” he said.

Nwuche expressed confidence that Nigerians across political, ethnic and regional divides would renew Tinubu’s mandate in 2027 to consolidate the gains already made and sustain the momentum of national progress.

The former lawmaker, who is also a political leader in the Orashi region of Rivers State, comprising the Ekpeye, Ogba and Abua ethnic groups, assured the President of the full support of the people of the region.

According to him, the Tinubu administration has taken bold steps to place Nigeria on the path of national cohesion and growth.

“Current reforms require time, consistency and collective national support to fully consolidate and deliver their intended benefits to the Nigerian people,” he stated.

He further stressed that nation-building requires vision, courage, patriotism and sacrifice from both leaders and citizens.

“Nation-building demands vision, courage, wisdom, patriotism and sacrifice not only from leaders but also from citizens who must remain committed to the shared responsibility of building a stronger, more prosperous and united Nigeria,” Nwuche added.
