The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board, in collaboration with Inter Core Solutions Ltd, has successfully concluded a one-month training programme on steel welding and fabrication for 50 youths in Oyo State.

The initiative forms part of NCDMB’s ongoing efforts to equip Nigerian youths with practical skills and promote self-reliance through vocational training.

Participants drawn from diverse backgrounds underwent intensive hands-on and theoretical sessions designed to build competence in welding and fabrication. The training covered key areas such as safety protocols, equipment handling, and project design and execution.

Speaking at the close of the programme, beneficiaries commended the organisers for the quality and structure of the training, as well as the commitment of the facilitators.

They expressed appreciation to NCDMB and Inter Core Solutions Ltd for providing an opportunity to acquire valuable technical skills that could enhance their employability and entrepreneurial prospects.

The organisers noted that the programme was tailored to prepare participants for opportunities within the welding and fabrication industry, either through paid employment or by starting their own businesses.

The successful completion of the training underscores NCDMB’s commitment to human capital development and its broader mandate of strengthening local capacity across key sectors of the Nigerian economy.
