Ambassador Faith Agada has been recognized as the Outstanding Woman in Women’s Health and Safety Advocacy at the 5th edition of the Women in Leadership Awards organized by the United Nations Association of Nigeria.
The award ceremony, held at the Nigerian Institute of International Affairs, convened distinguished leaders, policymakers, and development practitioners committed to advancing gender equality and social impact across Nigeria.
Selected from nearly 300 applicants nationwide and emerging as the winner among four finalists in her category, Agada’s recognition highlights her sustained impact in advancing the health, safety, and dignity of women and girls across different stages of life.
Based in Abuja, Amb. Faith Agada is a development practitioner, project manager, and gender advocate with a strong focus on holistic women’s health and protection.
She serves as the Executive Director of Fadora Champions Initiative for Advocacy and Social Impact, where she leads transformative programs that address the women’s health lifecycle — from menstruation to menopause — while also tackling critical issues such as gender-based violence (GBV), maternal and child health education, and community-based awareness initiatives.
Through her work, Agada has championed menstrual health education in schools, improved awareness around safe motherhood and child care, and strengthened community responses to violence against women and girls.
Her interventions are designed not only to educate but to break stigma, influence behavior change, and expand access to essential health information and support systems.
Under her leadership, the organization continues to expand its reach through grassroots engagement, advocacy campaigns, and strategic partnerships, positioning itself as a growing voice in advancing inclusive health systems and gender-responsive development in Nigeria.
Speaking on the recognition, Agada expressed appreciation to supporters and stakeholders:
“This recognition is not just about me — it represents every woman and girl whose health, safety, and dignity must be protected at every stage of life. It is a call to do more, reach further, and ensure no one is left behind.”
She emphasized that the award reflects the collective efforts of partners, supporters, and communities, while also reinforcing the urgency for increased investment, collaboration, and policy action in women’s health and safety.
Faith Agada reaffirmed her commitment to scaling impactful programs, strengthening advocacy efforts, and building partnerships that will drive sustainable change for women and girls across Nigeria and beyond.
The Women in Leadership Awards by UNA-Nigeria continues to spotlight exceptional women whose work is shaping a more equitable and inclusive society, inspiring a new generation of leaders and changemakers.
