The Young Progressives Party (YPP) presidential aspirant, Mr. Olajide Filani, has felicitated with Muslim faithful across Nigeria on the occasion of Eid-el-Fitr, marking the conclusion of Ramadan.
In a statement made available to newsmen in Abeokuta on Friday, Filani described Eid-el-Fitr as a period of sacrifice, discipline, love, and compassion.
He urged Nigerians to carry forward the lessons of Ramadan by promoting peace, tolerance, and national unity.
“During this Eid-el-Fitr celebration, I extend my congratulations to our Muslim brothers and sisters for successfully completing Ramadan, a time that imparts lessons of patience, sacrifice, and devotion to God..These qualities are essential for Nigeria during this crucial period.”
Filani stressed that the current challenges facing the nation demand prayer, sincerity, and responsible leadership.
He called on Nigerians to remain hopeful for a more prosperous and peaceful country.
He further encouraged political leaders, religious organizations, and citizens to use the Eid period as an opportunity to reflect on the importance of national cohesion, harmonious living, and commitment to justice and equity.
“My hope this season is for peace to be restored throughout Nigeria, for our citizens to find genuine joy, and for us to create a country where everyone feels valued and secure,” he remarked.
The YPP aspirant also urged Nigerians to continue praying for the nation and to support initiatives aimed at enhancing stability, economic growth, and security.
Filani concluded by extending heartfelt Eid wishes to all Muslim believers, praying that the blessings of Ramadan inspire renewed hope, peace, and prosperity in Nigeria.
He also emphasized the importance of making the right choices at the 2027 elections to bring lasting peace and abundance to the country, quoting Winston Churchill: “Success is moving from one failure to another without losing enthusiasm.”
