The Kaduna State chapter of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) on Wednesday clarified its position regarding reports of a State Working Committee (SWC) meeting allegedly held on March 2, 2026.
Addressing journalists in Kaduna, the State Chairman, Alhaji Ahmed Tijjani Mustapha, reaffirmed that he leads the legally recognized SWC in the state, a position acknowledged by the party’s national leadership and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Mustapha noted that a court order issued on November 26, 2025, is in place regarding party leadership matters and called on all members to respect ongoing judicial processes.
He confirmed that the officially recognized ADC office in Kaduna State remains on Katsina Road by the Muslim Pilgrims Board. Another office in Unguwar Kanawa was secured to enhance operations, but no relocation date has been fixed.
Mustapha also encouraged ward and local government leaders to use the party’s e-registration portal to mobilize new members and praised the national leadership for its initiative in facilitating membership registration.
He urged party members and the public to remain calm and law-abiding, assuring that updates would be communicated following the court’s decision on the pending matters.
