2026: Oyebamiji’s experience will benefit Osun — Ex-Lawmaker

By Shina Abubakar, Osogbo

The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State, Mr. Bola Oyebamiji, has been described as a seasoned technocrat whose experience in governance and the corporate sector would benefit the state.

A former lawmaker who represented Olorunda Constituency, Mr. Waseeu Adebayo, made this assertion while speaking with journalists in Osogbo on the qualities required of leadership in the state.

Adebayo noted that Oyebamiji’s decades-long experience in the corporate world, combined with his exposure to public service, positions him to effectively re-engineer governance for the benefit of the people.

He added that evolving federal government policies, particularly those enhancing revenue allocation to sub-national governments, require experienced leadership to maximise opportunities for development.

According to him, the August 15 governorship election presents an opportunity for the return of quality governance that would positively impact key sectors such as education and agriculture, without neglecting others.

“Oyebamiji has a rich background in both the corporate world and public service, having spent over a decade in the corridors of governance. He is well-prepared for leadership and will not govern by accident,” Adebayo said.

He further described the APC candidate as a leader with a proven track record and notable achievements in previous assignments, stressing that entrusting him with the leadership of Osun State would serve the collective interest of residents.

Adebayo, therefore, urged indigenes and residents of the state to not only vote for Oyebamiji but also mobilise support to ensure his victory at the polls.
