Wisdom Edward, popularly known as “Links Baby,” is from Khana Local Government Area of Rivers State. He was born and raised in Rumuagholu, Port Harcourt, and is currently based in Lagos, Nigeria.

The name Links Baby, according to the artiste, holds deep personal meaning. He revealed that the name came to him through a dream, making it not just a stage identity but a symbol of purpose and destiny.

“Links Baby is a very special name to me,” he said, describing it as a divine connection to his journey.

Musically, Links Baby draws inspiration from Afrobeats, reggae, and gospel, blending these influences into a unique sonic identity. His primary genres are Afropop and reggae, styles that allow him to express emotion, rhythm, and message with balance and depth. He describes his music as peaceful, soulful, and different—driven not by trends, but by truth.

“My lyrics are inspired by my personal life experiences and the things happening around me,” he explained. Each song is a reflection of real-life situations, struggles, growth, and hope—elements that resonate strongly with everyday listeners.

Like many independent artistes, Links Baby admits that pursuing a music career without major backing is challenging. However, his passion and focus keep him moving forward. “It’s one of the toughest journeys, but I remain focused and passionate,” he said, adding that his commitment to authenticity is non-negotiable.

The singer was also clear about the source of his inspiration, dismissing misconceptions often associated with success in the industry. “I do not practice any rituals,” he stated firmly. “My inspiration comes from God and from my life experiences.”
