Kaduna – Members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kaduna State, under the banner of the Jamoh APC Support Group, have called for due process in the handling of the recent arrest of former Director-General of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), Dr. Bashir Jamoh, by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC).
Speaking at a press conference in Kaduna, the group’s leader, Hon. Abdulrasheed Adekeye, urged that Jamoh’s rights be respected and that all legal procedures be followed.
The group also described Jamoh as a dedicated public servant who contributed to the nation’s economic growth during his tenure at NIMASA.
While acknowledging ICPC’s statutory responsibility to investigate allegations of corruption, the support group expressed confidence in the commission’s ability to conduct a fair investigation.
At the event, the group commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his leadership and pledged support for his re-election as well as that of Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani.
